Private should mean private.

What we store

SQUASH IT stores the nickname you choose, an anonymous browser identifier, the private rooms you participate in, your submitted text, and your votes. We do not require your email, password, address, contacts, or real name for guest use.

How private links work

Cases and group rooms use unguessable links. Anyone who receives a link may be able to access that room, so do not post it publicly. Private room contents are excluded from public pages and should not be indexed by search engines.

Live rooms

Live lobbies are public-style group spaces for adults. Your nickname, debate lane, submitted argument, vote totals, and structured chat may be visible to people in that lobby. Do not include your real name, workplace, school, contact details, or other identifying information in any post.

AI processing

When AI analysis is enabled, submitted text may be sent to our contracted AI provider to moderate content and create the requested fairness summary. Do not include names, contact information, addresses, account numbers, or other identifying details.

Retention and deletion

Two-person cases are designed to expire after 30 days. Active group rooms renew for 90 days from recent activity so a group can continue across rounds; inactive groups then expire. Hosts can revoke shared links earlier. A future account feature will include account and data deletion controls before it is offered publicly.

Advertising

Private case and group submissions are not intended to be used for targeted advertising. Any future ads should be limited to public live lobbies; private submissions will not be used to target them.

Contact

SQUASH IT is an evolving public beta. A dedicated safety and privacy contact will be added as the service grows.
